Admission
  • Submitting an Application
    Applicants should submit their applications through the HKUST Online Application System , together with all required application materials . The application fee is HK$180 per program in 2013/14 (by VISA or MasterCard). Applicants must submit their applications online before 7 March 2013.
  • Interviews
    Interviews are a required part of the admissions process. Interview details will be sent to shortlisted candidates by email or by phone.
  • Results Announcement
    Offers normally be made in the period from March to August. Please log onto the HKUST Online Application System to track your application progress. Email notifications will also be sent to successful applicants. *
  • Offer Acceptance Procedures

    To reserve a place in your program of study, please accept the offer and pay a non-refundable deposit of HK$5,000 via the HKUST Online Admissions System before the stipulated deadline.

    In order to register you as a student in the program, the University must first verify all the qualifications presented in your application.

Please submit:

  • Documents substantiating the qualifications you have already obtained, and
  • Official document proving your satisfaction of the admission conditions. Please submit these as soon as they become available, no later than end of July , i.e. two months prior to program commencement.

Unless otherwise specified in your offer letter, you should send your documents to the Postgraduate Outreach and Admissions Team . You may need to present the original documents before program registration. *

Applicants must satisfy the University’s general requirements . Applicants whose first language is not English and whose degree or equivalent qualification was awarded by an institution where the medium of instruction was not English will also have to meet the English requirements . *

Applicants should submit application materials through the HKUST Online Admissions System during the application and offer processes. *
