Recently, Prof. Jimmy C H FUNG's research group has worked with Cambridge Environment Research Consultants and Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department, the team will examine the validity and limitations of the street pollution model OSPM methodology for the different street canyon situations in HK. > read more
    
       Prof Jianping GAN      Dynamics of intensified downwelling circulation over a widened shelf in the northeastern South China Sea
The recent study of Prof. Jianping GAN's group has, for the first time, provided a new understanding for the mechanism that controls the upslope/downslope cross-isobath water transport in the shelf sea. > read more
    
      

Recent Awards

    
       Dr. Koon Fung LAM      Prof. Louis Lam, Adjunct Assistant Professor of ENVR and Lecturer of Chemical Engineering in University College London, has supervised the winning team of the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Competition (HKSEC 2012). The HKUST team won the champion, out of more than 300 teams.

    
       Young Scientist Poster Award        Dr. Yongjie Li, a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Division of Environment under the supervision of Prof. Chak K. Chan, received one of the Young Scientist Poster Awards in the 12th International Global Atmospheric Chemistry (IGAC) Open Science Conference -"Atmospheric Chemistry in the Anthropocene"- held in Beijing, China.
