Getting Clean Air in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and China

Highlighting an apparently absurd response (like selling canned fresh air), developing a tool to raise awareness through community monitoring, translating and making accessible scientific information, and pushing for policies to address the sources of air pollution have each contributed to the struggle to improve air quality in smoggy Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and the cities in China. The talk by Robert Gottlieb and Simon Ng will discuss what changes have taken place in these locations in their battle against air pollution, and will also reflect on the drivers that shape the changes at the local, state, and national level.
